LADAR is founded.
Low Atmospheric Data Acquisition and Research has been established as a non-profit atmospheric research organisation. Our mission is to conduct open-access, high-resolution characterisation of the lower atmosphere using drone-based sensing platforms.
The technical framework — including the ATLAS drone platform concept, sensor stack architecture, and physics-informed ML reconstruction approach — has been designed and documented. Development of Stack 1, our Core Atmospheric Profiling configuration, is now underway.
This website marks our first public presence. Everything here — the methodology, the stack configurations, the data policy — reflects where we are right now: beginning. We'll document the journey honestly, including setbacks, revisions, and null results alongside progress.
